Midnight at the Oasis
Hamanu, the Golden Lion, is, first and foremost, a warrior. He maintains the largest army in Athas, renowned for their discipline and fearsome tactics. He has never run from a fight, nor have his legions ever met defeat. His city-state, Urik, is orderly and stable, under his system of laws, Hamanu’s Code. He takes a hand-on role in every aspect of his city, including training soldiers, meting out punishment and monitoring food supplies.
Still, Hamanu is a difficult master to please. He is not above discarding anybody who fails him, and he pushes his templars to serve without question or fail. He thinks no more of sacrificing a templar than he does a slave, because that is all they are to him — extensions of his will.
